When I register for the free class and try to launch a module. It gets stuck in "building user"; also when I try to click course materials, it will redirect me to the registration page. I've tried firefox, chrome, safari.
Apologies for the inconvenience with the delay in the course loading. Occasionally there is a lag time with our registration system - simply check back on your course in 1-2 hours after you register, and the delay should be resolved.
You can also follow these steps:
Close the course, and logout from your Education account
Clear the cache in your browser, and restart the browser
Reboot your computer if possible
Log back in and relaunch the course
If you still get the error message, try to launch the course with a different browser
You should also try to access your course from an alternate network.

I'm having this exact same failure mode on Windows 10 as well.
I've disabled ad blockers, popup blockers, tried Edge, Chrome and Firefox and even repeated the same tests on another Windows 10 PC where I finally got it to work in Chrome and only Chrome. Edge and Firefox on the second PC exhibited the same failure.
