What is the best practice to paste regular expressions on Splunk Answers without the site removing special characters?

Could someone please let me know what is the best practice to paste regex in the response to any question? Answers portal automatically removes special characters such as backslash from response.

Well you can use the Code Sample button to write out a code block (5th from the left)
