Want to create five tabs in excel

I have five excels which get generated through SPLUNK, Now I want to generated one more excel file which would contain five tabs, each ta
b will contain the content of corresponding excel.

  1. if it is possible in perl scripting, kindly let me know how to do it and how to call this script in splunk.
  2. if it is possible through SPLUNK, then please let me know how to do this ..

This is really needed in urgent basis ..
Please help !!

As far as I remember Splunk can only export csv files, not excel files.
see http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/5.0/SearchReference/Outputcsv

So if you need multi tabs excel documents, you have to generate each tab as a csv, then merge then manually, or write a script to do it.
