Splunk Admin Role- unable to change app visibility.

Hello community,

I have splunk admin role on splunk GUI, I access Splunk from web which is hosted on remote machine. However, I don't have access to remote machine to manually change any configuration files. I am trying to setup one app but as the visibility is coming as no for me, I am not having an option to setup the app. I am not able to change visibility as it gives access error, stating I can't change the setting with all options disabled, and hence face challenge in setting the app. Is there a way to do so only from GUI.

It is a customized app, not something available on Splunk appstore.

Hello Adonio, it is a customized app built on top of splunk but that is not available on Splunk store. But it had default app visibility as yes, but after a recent installation it has changed to no and I am not able to change it fr GUI

can you check the default.meta or local.meta in the metadata folder of the app?

Thanks Adonio, sure would give it a try but as I mentioned I don't have access to the remote machine where splunk was installed it might be challenging, any way possible to check from GUI
