In our dispatch directory jobs are getting purged though we didn't set any parameters explicitly, all are default only.
Hence we need to clear dispatch manually .Please suggest what can be done to get rid of this manual purging.

You have to configure your saved searches/User profile to set a retention period for artifacts in Dispatch directory. See this http://answers.splunk.com/answers/57630/controlling-dispatch-directory-growth.html

This could be little tidious, so you can setup a daily job to cleanup dispatch directory. See the command/method here.

Hi @viswanathsd

No problem. So you said you want to "get rid of this manual purging". Does that mean you want to find a way to automatically clear the dispatch directory daily instead of manually clearing it twice a day?

Hi @viswanathsd

Can you clarify your issue? Your question says "Jobs not getting purged in dispatch", but your first sentence says "jobs are getting purged". Which one is it? and what do you mean by "what can be done to get rid of this manual purging"?
