I have a dropdown which have team names. Now I want to populate the Dashboard name with the selected team names from the dropdown. I have already tried putting token name of the dropdown in Dashboard name but it was not working.
Is it possible to do so?
@nagar57 refer to this workaround which may be used to
1) Hide Title in your dashboard provided by Splunk
2) Create first row with html panel containing your dashboard title
3) Use token in the html panel

Please try out and confirm!
If I am not wrong, Dashboard name comes first and then you select your dropdown values. right? Based on the selected dropdown value, it's not easy to change the dashboard name.
Rather, you can assign that select value to a token (say selected_dropdown) and use it in the underlying table/panel title. Something like this?
<row>
<panel>
<title>Dropdown value is $selected_dropdown$ </title>
Thanks for looking into this. But this is not what I wanted.
Just like we can populate the panel title with a token value I want to populate the Dashboard name i.e. <label>$token_value My Dashboard</label>
Something like this.
Did you check this post of @niketnilay . if it helps, upvote his original post buddy 🙂

I tried this but while hiding the default label I am not able to see Edit and Export options.
Because that is part of the title. You can anyways edit the source/panels under Dashboards -> Actions (of your dashboard) -> Edit
Did your dashboard name populated from a token value? - which is your actual requirement
Yup. But I referred this link

@nagar57 please add more details to your issue for the community to assist you better. What is the source of data for Team name, Dashboard Name? and what is the correlation? Can you add some data for the two?
Also what is the SPL you have tried? What do you mean by not working? Are you getting no data or error?
