Hi there, I have a saved search and built a chart from report builder, how can I get the this chart's XML to add to a dashboard? or let's say, how can I add the chart from report builder directly to a dashboard panel?

Thank all and meery X'Mas ^^

You can use the report builder to easily add saved searches to dashboards. You don't need the chart's XML, but simply specify the saved search name and things will fall into place.

Hi nick, very much for your sharing. I got it worked. The main point is that, if you want the chart to be shown up exactly configured at report builder, you need to save the search in that report builder window. Many THX ^^

in the actions menu, select 'create new dashboard'. Then on that screen follow the links and modal popup menus to add a 'chart' and wire it up to your saved search name. If you do it that way and you saved the search in report builder, it will automatically pick up the charting settings you chose. Or if you have a dashboard you've already created in this manner, you can do 'edit dashboard' and thereafter the steps to add the new panel are the same.
