What hardware is in the current supported lists?

I have a Linksys E4300 and a Comcast Wireless modem (not sure what the exact model is at the moment)

Currently the App supports the Verizon FiOS MI424WR (G and N routers), Asus RT series routers, pfSense firewalls, Linksys, NetGear, Skyhub, and Mikro-tek firewalls.

As long as your router can send data over syslog, we can work on getting your router supported. The Comcast Wireless modem I don't think has an output to syslog, so I cannot capture it's information.

It looks like your linksys E4300 router does not support SNMP or syslog so this app might not work for it. (http://blogs.cisco.com/home/new-firmware-now-available-for-select-linksys-e-series-wireless-routers-...) Since I don't have your router to test with, I cannot give you a full answer to your question. I hope that helps.

Have you considered setting up a pfsense firewall between your modem and your network? It's free and that system does work with this app.

It's great, plus there are plenty of components that you can layer on top of the pfSense firewall such as SNORT, proxy server, etc. It also gives you a significant amount of control over your network too.

Years later...

I finally got to be able to build out a pfsense firewall. Will be getting it into Splunk as soon as I can.

Thanks for the pointer @amiracle
