Is UUID in Splunk MINT unique to each mobile App user?

I am trying to use Splunk MINT to work out the number of unique users of a set of mobile (IOS and Android) apps we have in the various market places since launch. Unfortunately, our developers haven't set a value for the userIdentifier field in the SDK. As an alternative, can I rely on the uuid field generated by Splunk MINT?

Yes, you can rely on the uuid. This field is actually used by MINT to calculate unique users for the app and on mint.splunk.com, too.
