Configuring Pinger

KaliBaker
Engager

I am working on setting up the app Pinger but in the directions it says edit the local directory to add what you want to monitor. In my download... there was no local directory. I added one but I'm not sure what all config files need to go in there now to make it work! Any help configuring Pinger would be much appreciated.

Please create the local directory under $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/pinger. To make Pinger work you need a pinger.conf and an inputs.conf. For pinger.conf, please follow the examples in pinger.conf.spec. For inputs.conf, at a minimum override the disabled flag for the scripted input but you can also use this to change the frequency.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions!
