Usage of in memory storage for kvstore/mongodb possible ?

Hi,

we are using Splunk 7.3.6. in clustered environment with intensive usage of the KVStore in the SHCluster.
In this version Splunk uses the mongod with the storage engine mmapv1 which MongoDB deprecates in future releases.

Is it possible to switch to the in memory storage engine ? We do not need persistance for the data but are looking to optimize for latency.

Thanks

regards

Andre
