Getting Data In

is it possible to view indexed data from one index in an another indexer?

Hello Splunkers,

I have two splunk instances, due to some operational and security reasons, I need to see some specific data (indexed in splunk instance A) to be viewed or visualized in second splunk instance(B).

Is this possible by means of any api call or other means?

Thanks

You can use instance B as a Search Head for the Instance B (whether it is a Standalone All-in-One Splunk or just a Splunk Indexer).

Provided there is a communication path from instance A to communicate with B on the management port (default 8089), just add the instance B as a search peer for instance A.

Do it by Settings->Distributed Search-> Search-Peers-> Add New
