I have tried to download splunk-4.2.4-110225-linux-2.6-amd64.deb but:
1. The browser (firefox and chrome) hasn't started the download.
2. linux command wget has returned this output:
wget -O splunk-4.2.4-110225-linux-2.6-amd64.deb 'http://www.splunk.com/index.php/download_track?file=4.2.4/splunk/linux/splunk-4.2.4-110225-linux-2.6...'

How can I download the package in other way our how to I can fix the problem ?
Today, 2 Dec 2011, I have downloaded splunk-4.2.4-110225-linux-2.6-amd64.deb and so I think everything works now.
Thanks
Appears be up finally.
There is an issue with the download site this morning (Dec. 1), Splunk IT is working to fix it.
Service restored at 10:30 AM PST.
Confirmed I'm getting a 503 when trying to download the windows version splunk-4.2.4-110225-x64-release.msi
Just wanted to confirm that this does indeed seem to be a problem. I've had the exact similar experience and can add ie & safari to the list of browsers from 3 different computers. Unfortunately, I'm unable to run wget. In addition, clicking on the link for when the download doesn't work has the same result.
I'm not sure if there is an issue with the site, I too can not download any Linux installs from it (I already have it, just testing it for you 🙂 )
The wget command may not be working, as you may need to login anyway(you need to be logged to download from the site).
also tried historic downloads (i.e. previous releases)
