Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics: Does the "application name" option support Japanese?

Hello!
I am using "Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics" to get data.
If you enter the "application name" option in Japanese at the time of data acquisition, an error will occur.
Does the "application name" option support Japanese?
Or is there a problem with the version?

Execution environment
Splunk Enterprise : Version 7.0.2
Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics : version 1.6.0

In Splunkbase, it was described as having compatibility up to version 6.6.

一旦 splunk 6.6入れても同様な事象になるところまでご確認いたいた上で、Splunkの有識者にコメントいただくほうがいいかもしれませんね。日本語でapplication nameを入れる要件がないのであれば、もしかしたら動作確認しながらつかうのもありかとは思いますが。

モジュラーインプットで使っているコードの話なので、開発した人にきければ一番いいのですが。。
また、バージョンに関するサポート云々は、Splunkさんに聞いて頂く必要があるとおもいますが、以下のような構成も可能なのかもしれませんね。

AppDynamics ----> Splunk6.6/Addon for App Dynamics (as a forwarder/data router) --> Splunk 7.x (indexer)

ちなみに、英語だとうまくいくという理解でいいですか？（つまりエラーログに出ているタイムアウトは直接的には関係なさそうという感じ）Configの中にタイムアウトを調整するパラメータがあるのでそれをいじってどうにかなるのかの確認ですね。
