How much latency is involved in searches if indexers clusters are in two different data centers

We are hosting one indexer cluster in aws and other in our on prem DC. One search head cluster on the on-prem DC.
Both the DC is in different geographic locations.
I'm trying to understand if there'll be latency in searches when we query the aws indexer cluster since the search head cluster is not in the same DC as aws indexer cluster?

Will real time searches be affected coz of this architecture??

Yes, and yes. You are talking about different locations that are dependent on the bandwidth you have between them. There will almost certainly be some latency between your on-prem DC and AWS. What problem are you trying to overcome? What problems do you foresee from such latency that you need to address?
