The app was working fine before upgrading Splunk from 6.1.4 to 6.2. After the upgrade the app displayed a blank page with no options and no menus. I removed the app and reinstalled it a few times from different sources. Now the only text displayed is:
Based on the information gathered in your environment, we've automatically selected the dashboards that meet your needs. You can change the selections to best suit your needs.
With two buttons "Finish and save" and "Detect" which do nothing.
After removing the app each time I verified that the files were removed from the server. This search head is running linux, but that shouldn't be relevant since the app is multi-platform and it was working before the upgrade to Splunk 6.2.
I use Google Chrome all the time. I am facing many errors in it. But every problem has its own solution. Since yesterday, I am facing err_cache_miss message. I am unable to find a solution. Plz, share the solution if any. http://itechinspector.com/fix-err_cache_miss-error.html
I think this will help you: https://validedge.com/err_cache_miss-google-chrome/ this message occurs when we are asked to renter the data and web browser is not getting the web address this happens due to cache issues. Simple clear the browsing history and you are done.
Adding this to the main thread, didn't want it just to show as a reply to the last poster...
Hopefully this isn't frowned upon, the thread necromancy
I'm having almost the same problem as OP, though I don't get anything (but

to display in chrome. In order to configure, or to even use the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure, I have to use firefox. I'm running Splunk Enterprise 6.3 & SAWI 1.2.0, on Suse server 11.
In Chrome, when I inspect the screen that comes up after trying to launch the app, I see in the console
Refused to execute script from 'https://atlitpspsh:8000/dj/static/js/build/splunkjs.min/config.js' because its MIME type ('text/x-js') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.
Does this help? Is anyone still looking at this, or still having this problem? thanks
I found a workaround. Use Firefox instead of Chrome or IE. In Firefox the Setup page looks normal and I successfully completed setup. Chrome and IE are both still broken for this app.
I created a new SUSE server and installed Splunk and the Windows Infrastructure app. Same problem.
Fresh install of SUSE, fully patched. Installed splunk-6.2.0-237341-linux-2.6-x86_64.rpm. Windows Infrastructure 1.0.4 is the only app. Kernel:
3.0.101-0.40-default #1 SMP Thu Sep 18 13:09:38 UTC 2014 (44b8c95) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I'll check for errors.
django_service.log and django_error.log are empty. splunkd.log has no errors. javascript errors:

@etotman, which browser versions are the ones for which you see the issue?
I have been looking for:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CACHE_MISS
and this reminds me about an issue with specific Google Chrome versions, solved in version 40, see also here:

Hope this helps.
Splunk 6.2.0 64bit? which package did you use to install? This will help us isolate the issue. Fresh install of the Windows Infrastructure 1.0.4 app as well? Which kernel version also? Fully updated Suse install? When you open the developer javascript console, do you see any red errors? Errors in splunkd.log and django_error.log will help.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3 64-bit. Yes I cleared the cache and restarted the browser multiple times. No difference.
Actually the server OS does seem to be relevant because my indexer, which is running windows, displays the app with no problems in all three browsers.
Hi etotman, which distribution is running on your linux search heads? We've tested with 64bit centos 6x and 7, as well as latest ubuntu in our lab with upgrading Splunk as well as the Windows Infrastructure app. Have you tried refreshing your browser/clearing your cache? Let us know, we're here to help.
Correct 1.0.4. Also IE 11 seems to be working now after turning off compatibility mode.
Hi - Can you provide the exact version of the Wndows Infrastructure app? I presume it is 1.0.4, but want to make sure. Thanks for flagging this. We are looking into it.
