Hello,
I don't want to use the accountbar module so i am searching a solution to make links to an another app in the navigation bar
Thanks you,
Damien
Hi ddarmand
you can add a HTML link to the navigation menu, if you add something like this to your default navigation menu:
<a href="/app/YourAppName">YourAppName</a>
either do this in the Manager » User interface » Navigation menus » default
or by editing the file nav.xml
in the path $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/YourAppName/default/data/ui/nav
hope this helps
cheers, MuS

It works but unable to save the Navigation menu editor when there there is a '?' symbol in the url. how to overcome this ?
Are you sure it's the ?, and not the ampersands?
Try changing any & characters to & in the url.
e.g.
<a href="/app/lookup_editor/lookup_edit?owner=nobody&namespace=my_app&lookup=my_lookup&type=kv">Edit Lookup</a>
Sounds to me as if you have a similar but different question. Please create a new question rather than writing an answer to a six year old question.
thanks you
