Cannot start splunk - shellscript error in mac OSX

This is for a new install on Mac OSX Mountain Lion for splunk, using the shell script method, I am not able to start splunk and get the following output on the apple script:

error "2013-06-18 12:16:35.823 osascript[17567:707] Error loading /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types: dlopen(/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types, 262): no suitable image found. Did find:
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
osascript: OpenScripting.framework - scripting addition \"/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax\" declares no loadable handlers.
710:714: syntax error: Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier. (-2741)" number 1

Please advice how to resolve this.

I am having the same problem. I am running this from my administrator account, but not using the CLI, whats the problem?

Do you have administrative access to the machine you're installing it on? Try running it with sudo.
