java bridge is not running.
Have installed Jdk 7 , also environmental variables are defined properly.
What are possibilities for java bridge not running ?
anybody could help in this ?
The Java variable path needs to point to the parent of the bin that contains the server folder.
For example with JDK7 c:\program files\java\jdk1.7.0_25\jre. If you point it to c:\program files\java\jdk1.7.0_25 then the bridge server will not run.
The log to check for bridge server errors is splunk\var\log\splunk\jbridge.log
Tail this log when you restart Splunk, or when you manually kill java and open DB Connect.

Please tail -f var/log/splunk/dbx.log to check any errors.
what are the essential pre-requisites that i need to make sure for a dbx app , so that Java-bridge might work as expected ?
how to resolve this ?
the folder was already granted with required permissions
Looks like a file system permissions issue according to the first error?
