Display content in Splunk dashboards using custom path or directory? Content needs to be secure.

Hi All,

I've had a look around but didn't seem to find an answer to my question. If it has been asked before, please direct me to the answer.

Currently, I'm trying to embed images and videos in a Splunk dashboard, to make Splunk be the single source of truth, making user experience slightly easier avoiding needing to go to multiple pages.

Now the way this has been done is through putting the files in "../<>/appserver/static". However from what I can see, the content inside this folder can be accessed by anyone even if they are not logged into Splunk.

I want to serve content on my Splunk dashboard, but also ensure that only people who are logged in can view it. If they use the developer tool and retrieve the URL for the video file, they would still need to log in if they are trying to access it.

Hope this all makes sense. Please let me know if further clarification is needed.

Thanks everyone.
