@MuS

I would like to give access to some user to do refresh, i know they need admin role.
However admin has 99 capabilities, do you know what ones are needed? As i would like to create a sub set of admin, specifically for this person to use it.

The minimum required capabilities to run the debug | refresh are:

  • edit_scripted
  • refresh_application_licenses
  • web_debug

(If you have just web_debug, it will allow you to see the refresh button, but when you press it, it throws a gnarly 5XX error, with these two others, everything runs fine.)

Hi robertlynch202,

I would not recommend to grant users access to the | refresh command for various reasons like it reloads entities that could cause event loss or restart scripted/modular inputs.
Like the description of the app states The intention / reason for this app is to reload changed configs on the fly so you can **test and validate** them. you should only use it on Dev/Test systems and not in prod.

If you still think your users need access, then there is no other way than doing the tests yourself what capabilities they need to run the command.

Hope this helps ...

cheers, MuS
