Generally we define connection to connect one of the database but consider that DB team is doing a failover and moving the Db on DR site, In this situation Splunk will not get the data because DR connectivity is not mentioned.
Generally there is a concept of tns.ora file in Oracle database which will enable us to connect via scan IP with multiple host ( Primary or DR).
Can we place tns.ora to get this done for splunk DB Connect?
DB Connect does not support tns.ora files.
Consider using DNS, a load balancer, or other networking techniques to route traffic to the site that is up.
