Limit scheduled-search run frequency

Hi.

Some of our more ... enthusiastic ... users have been scheduling great big searches far too close together and for wild time ranges.

Is there any way I, as an admin, can let them schedule searches but restrict how often they can do so?

I suspect there is an XML file buried somewhere with the values... If I could lock them out of crontab-formatted schedules and then edit the list of available freqency times, that should do it!

I don't know a way you could prevent it, but you could run a search yourself using | rest /services/saved/searches then searching for whatever criteria you were interested in looking for.
