Using the Splunk free license, when accessing /en-US/app/Splunk_SA_CIM/cim_setup?action=edit, I get the error "You do not have permission to access this page. Please contact your Splunk administrator."
It is my understanding that with Splunk free, there is no authentication, a single role for admin, and configuration is not possible. Generally, when attempting to access a page restricted by license, the message is "This feature is not available with your installed set of licenses."
Is CIM only available to Splunk Enterprise and the message is wrong, or is this supposed to work and is broken?
On the installation page it states it is only available for Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud.
