Recently our Splunk trial period was expired. After we buy a new license and restart the server. But still, I am getting the error : "Error in 'litsearch' command: Your Splunk Light license expired or you have exceeded your license limit too many times. Renew your Splunk Light license by visiting visiting www.splunk.com/goto/estore."
We have added the license via Splunk web interface. Is that the reason that we getting the error or any other reasons?
Assume you are using a single splunk instance on which you have re-loaded the new license. You can contact your Splunk sales/account manager to get a 'splunk reset' license and load it to remove the warning/errors. I assume you are still ingesting data which is still then your license limit.
Also, make sure if you are using stacks/pools, the license is shared correctly. you can also check
