How come the Splunk for Asset Discovery app is not pinging as expected?

I'm using the app and trying to ping a service.

here is my stanza

[script://.\bin\nmap.cmd someservice.my.ge]
interval = 120
source = nmap
sourcetype = ping_scan
index = asset_discovery

as a result I see a ping once in a while not in every 120 seconds.

what am I missing?
