Browse More Apps doesn't find some apps

When trying to search for apps using the Browse More Apps form (Menu: Apps / Find more apps), I am unable to find certain apps. It seems to work in principle since I can search for some apps, but some others that are present on Splunk base cannot be found through this search interface.
Any hints why this occurs? Thanx!

as stated by @adonio the apps which are compatible with the splunk version are shown in find apps menu...
as recently splunk 7.2.0 version is available and some of the apps are compatible with it but has not updated its compatibility on splunkbase so it wont find through find more apps menu(assuming you are on splunk 7.2.0) ....You can download these apps from https://splunkbase.splunk.com and upload it's (tar/tgz) file.

hello there,
i think it can only find apps that are compatible with your splunk version

Thanks. Would the conclusion then be that it will never find apps that are hosted externally, i.e. where splunkbase only provides a description and a link? Such apps do not require any indication of version compatibility when submitting to splunkbase iirc.

i think it is a good conclusion, imho it is only looks at apps hosted in splunkbase that has compatibility value, then it matches the value with your current splunk version

if it helps, kindly accept the answer by @493669 and up-vote any helpful comments
