Hi all,
please help me to find whether we can drilldown in si simple xml inside a
<single>
tab returning a single value
thank you
Did you try searching or reading the docs?
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/5.0/Viz/PanelreferenceforSimplifiedXML
This was the third result, also if you search on Splunkbase I gave an answer on how to turn the labels into static URLs. If this doesn't help you'll need to give more detail than you have

Hi AYN,
i tried the same in advanced xml too. but the $sources$ token populated in a dropdownbox has to be used in the link directed by single value result.
i searched in sideview utils too, i didnt get any example that is using dropdown box or any other outer search result in linksearch or linkview option. please help if you know to use those variables in search i tried source=$sources& source=$form.sources$ source=$result[0].sources$
Did i miss something?
please help, i didnt find any document that can help me, suggest if there is any
this is a humble request

Its not wasted, but there is an extensive and well maintained set of documents which are designed to answer as many questions as possible, along with a vast array of past questions on Splunkbase. Good questions showing a bit of research are great, questions about a docs subject generally aren't 🙂
i am sorry, i missed to read it . sorry for wasting your time.
