Password issues: why is an accepted password not accepted?

Hi,

newbie here... have registered, created a password, and it's been accepted (I confirmed the email). Now I'm trying to access some free apps, and splunk online won't accept my password. I've gone in as admin, and reset the password successfully, but it still won't accept my password when I want to install an app.

So now I go and (re)change my password: it tells me my old password is incorrect. I try admin PW - no dice.
I seem to be in a loop here, and resetting my PW is not working.

Anyone know what is going on here? What do I need to do?

i think you are using the splunk login password in splunk-base. both are different. try resetting your password in splunk base to download a free app
