Total shot in a dark, but i figured this is good way to build some friendships. I'm Solutions Architect with AWS Partner Network and i work with Splunk. I have a few topics that i'd like to propose splunkconf18 but instead of doing them myself I'd rather collaborate with someone from the community. Why I'm doing this? Its uncomfortable and i'm believer that when you are uncomfortable I tend to learn more, it sticks better and I'm more open minded than i would normally be.
So if you are in for some collaborating with a stranger, having fun and building friendships, let me know!
One of the strengths of this community is their willingness to help each other. The best way I know of to build relationships with members of this community is to try answering questions here in Answers, join the Splunk Slack group, find a local user group (or help create one if one doesn't exist!) and otherwise interact with the community.
If you have some topics you'd like to propose, the Splunk Slack channel "conf2018" would be a good place to start. Hop on Slack (see previous link - there's a link to follow in it to get approved) and start helping people in #general or #n00bs, join up to #conf2018 and start talking to people!
Happy Splunking and hope to see you there!
