Can 6.4x be directly upgraded to 7.x?

Can 6.4 be upgraded directly to 7 or are there versions in between that need to be upgraded to first?
As an example upgrading from 4.1.8 to 6.0 required updating to 4.2.5 followed by 5.0 before upgrading to 6.x.

In my opinion you are fine upgrading from 6.4.X to 7.0.1 without any problems, but don't trust me!
