Possible to make an export of an entire dashboard, for archival purposes?

Hi guys, I have a dashboard that is used for checking various status/info data from servers. The tables in the dashboard are spread out over a few different tabs and includes things like; servername, storage size, location, patching, ip addresses, etc.

Before a server is put in production for a customer, we do a final check to see if the server indeed meets all the specifications the customer wanted. We do this with this dashboard, for archival purposes we would like to make an export of the dashboard, so that we can always prove a server met the requirements of the customer on the moment of publication.

So far I only know of the 'Export to PDF' function (that only works for a single tab/page), and the 'Export to CSV, XML, JSON' for a single table. Currently I have made an extra tab in the dashboard, in which I put all my tables underneath each other, that way you get all your tables in a PDF when you use the Export to PDF function. But this is not an optimal solution, because of the portrait PDF all kinds of tables get messed up.

Does anyone know of a good way to export your dashboard?

you want the pdf as a landscape, not portrait? you can do "Schedule PDF Delivery" (so long as you remove any inputs that may be there and hardcode them into the queries temporarily) and change it to landscape and hit "Preview PDF" to view it, and then save that.

Yeah landscape would probably already work a lot better than portrait. I looked at the 'Schedule PDF Delivery', but it is grayed out for me. Is this indeed caused by the inputs I have in the dashboard? Hardcoding the inputs for all queries every time someone wants to export the dashboard is not really an option. 😛

you can change the PDF format to automatically export landscape, but it will automatically do that for every PDF in your Splunk environment. To do that, you'd go to Settings>Server Settings>Email Settings>Report Paper Orientation and change that to Landscape.

Thanks.

It seems I don't have the needed rights to change those settings. We also have a lot of dashboards in Splunk, so I don't know if/how much other dashboards would be effected if that setting would to be changed server wide.
