My trial license expired after one day -- why?

Hi,
I installed Enterprise Trial yesterday. Today, my login screen shows "Your license is expired. Please login as an administrator to update the license". I am redirected to the Change license group page with selected Enterprise Trial license and a message "There are no valid Splunk Enterprise Trial licenses installed. You will be prompted to install a license if you choose this option."

I did not do much, just was going through the tutorials and video training. Tried to reinstall - no luck.
Not sure what to do.
Thanks for your help.

Hi airlevin,
did you used a trial version released from Splunk or the one at installation time?
If the first case, you have to verify the expiration date of the trial license (usually not more than one or two weeks).
If the second case you have two months of trial period at installation time, but if you try to install again after some time (e.g. one month) you'll not have two months again.
Anyway, go in [Settings -- Licensing -- Change License Group -- Free License] and you'll have a free license that has some limitations (https://www.splunk.com/en_us/products/splunk-enterprise/free-vs-enterprise.html ).
Bye.
Giuseppe
