Can I install and run Splunk DB Connect on Windows Server 2016?

I see the Prerequisites of Splunk DB Connect 3.1.0 on Windows operation system is Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2.
Does it support Windows server 2016 Standard?

Does anyone has an information about if a newer version of DB Connect will Support Windows2016?
If yes, when will it be released?

We have tried to use DB Connect 3.1.3 on Windows 2016, it will not work at all.

I am in the same situation. Did you install db connect in windows server 2016 and were able to run it successfully ?

If it is not listed in the supported operating systems, that means Splunk did not test the software on it. It might work, but it would be an unsupported experiment.
