Hi guys,
I don't know if this is possible so I thought i would hit the forums for advice. Is it possible to have a standard deviation line on a bar graph?
User = Jack, attendance = 102, class=101, dob=25/12/1966
I know the first standard deviation for Class 101 is 108.8. I want the first standard deviation distance to be plotted on my bar graph so i can easily identify lower than adequate attendance in classes.
Thanks again
Tom

Many features are not available through Splunk GUI but to edit dashboard XML you don't need access to conf files. Just go to your new dashboard, click "Edit: on" and then "Edit XML" ...
Thanks, that's very useful information.
I'll check to see if I can get access to the internals; at present, I don't have access to any conf files that I'm aware of. I was hoping for something simple, not programmatic.
What I'm really looking for is graphs with error bars; I have the standard deviation, so why can't I display it? See http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/excel-box-and-whisker-diagrams-box-plots/, which shows the max, the min, the mean, and the standard deviation.
I suspect that I'm asking for more than Splunk can do.
If you have figured this out, please let me know!
