time chart not rendering properly in pdf

I have a time chart which is working on a search over the last 365 days. It displays perfectly as a dashboard. However I only have data from June this year, when I export to pdf the plotted line is shifted left as if the data started from august 2016 (365 days ago). I don't want to change the time range because ultimately I will have 365 days of data to plot.

add in |fillnull FIELD value=0 to your syntax. or try |makecontinuous span=X|timechart span=X... The pdf chart needs those values filled in for the days you don't have any data or it will shift the entire chart over to the Y axis.
