I am using DB Connect 3.1.0 and I have following errors in splunkd.log
07-06-2017 06:10:30.284 +0000 ERROR AdminManager - Could not setup handler 'health' due to missing file 'rh_healthlog.py'. Please ensure that it is in the bin subdirectory of the appropriate Splunk app path.
07-06-2017 06:10:30.284 +0000 ERROR AdminManager - Could not setup handler 'usage_data' due to missing file 'rh_usage_data.py'. Please ensure that it is in the bin subdirectory of the appropriate Splunk app path.
It looks to come from splunk_app_db_connect\default\restmap.conf where following is defined:
[admin_external:health]
handlertype=python
handlerfile=**rh_healthlog.py**
handleractions=create,edit,list,remove,enable,disable,_reload
#handlerpersistentmode=true DBX-2818
[admin_external:usage_data]
handlertype=python
handlerfile=**rh_usage_data.py**
handleractions=list
#handlerpersistentmode=true DBX-2818
But those files do not exist anymore in version 3.1.0 (but I see them in 3.0.2 release) As far as I can see so far, it did not create any problem for me (out of the periodical error messages). Has anybody else same problem ?
Regards.
According to the splunk_app_db_connect release notes of 3.1.2:
2017-12-15 DBX-4472 rh_healthlog and rh_usage_data are invalid entries in restmap.conf
So just upgrade to 3.1.2 and it should be fixed
Well, if you don't want to update it (for what ever reason you have) and insist on editing the default file (which is not recommended) just comment out the whole section.
what If i dont wan't to update my db connect for other reasons, and just disappear this message.
Should i delete entry from restmap.conf at ...\splunk_app_db_connect\default ?
[admin_external:health]
handlertype=python
handlerfile=rh_healthlog.py
handleractions=create,edit,list,remove,enable,disable,_reload
what is the correct way of deleting this entry? workflowactions.conf ?
