We have integrated Spunk Mint framework into our iOS application and logging the events using Splunk. We are getting random SIGSEGV crashes which are happening inside the Splunk framework as below:
SPLJSONModel toJSONDataWithKeys:
SPLJSONModel toJSONStringWithKeys:
UnhandledCrashExtra saveUnhandledCrashExtra
Splunk SDK version: SplunkMint (5.2.0)
iOS version: 10.3.2
Language used: Swift
As per the Spunk doc http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/MintIOSSDK/latest/DevGuide/FixedIssues, similar crash has been fixed in the sdk v5.2.0. But we are getting similar crash in the latest SDK.
Hi - we were unable to reproduce this issue. Are you able to reproduce?
If so, please send us a code snippet to mobilesupport@splunk.com so we can further investigate. Thanks
We are not able to reproduce it consistently. It would be great if you can help us to know the possible reasons for this kind of crash so that we can analyze our code.
SIGSEVG crashes can be seen when using weak reference to a delegate object. See Apple documentation for weak reference.
But crash is happening inside SPLJSONModel as per the crash report.
Will you send a link to the crash at mint.splunk.com to mobilesupport@splunk.com?
