how to index a mysql without datetime

I want to index a mysql .The table is named as "date+topic",for example 20170601_action ,however ,the column time in table is in format "hh:mm:ss",so,HOW could I index it with date+time as timestamp?

Create a custom view in the DB that is rearranged appropriately and then access the table's data indirectly through that view.
