Exporting an advanced Dashboard to PDF

Hi All I have an advanced dashboard that contains summary info. Business user would like a button to press which gives him a PDF of all he sees.

For a starter, I cant figure how to put the 'Actions' button on the dashboard!

For now, with the current version of Splunk and its PDF creating capability, i would say your best bet is to install a PDF printer and once you have the report you wish then Print To PDF. Google is a good helper in finding PDF printers (try doPDF)

So what is it that makes splunk decide whether the "Schedule for PDF Delivery" sub menu is greyed out? It seems fairly straight forward with the simple dashboards, what's the missing link for the advanced XML dashboards?

Or is it as simple as 'you can only PDF a saved search' ??

You can pdf stuff that you schedule and create email delivery for.

For the action bar, you will need to add this to the advanced XML:

<module name="TitleBar" layoutPanel="viewHeader" /> 

Then ensure you have the PDF report server installed on a linux machine..
