SPlunk on Hadoop

Hi All,

I'm working as a SPlunk admin. We have Hadoop in my environment. Now management requested to install Splunk and Hadoop for generate Reports and data Analysis.
Kindly advise me how to connect Splunk with Hadoop. Is it through HUNK APP or Hadoop connect ?

we are using Splunk Enterprise version 6.4
