Drilldown from one dashboard to a specific panel on another dashboard

I want to drill-down from one dashboard to a specific panel on another dashboard. I have two dashboards one is a glass table the other is a regular dashboard, I want to somehow create custom links for each panel in the regular dashboard and be able to feed those into the drilldown of the glass table so when the dashboard loads it loads looking at the panel that it is linked to.

I have some ideas here but am at odds to how to actually implement them,
1) create a token on the panels that I want to link to
2) implement javascript to parse the url and add my token at the end
3) when using that url it jumps to the token on the page

If I understand you correctly, you want to use html anchors. You can find a previous discussion about that here, but that is for a drilldown in the same dashboard. You should be able to change the url to point to another dashboard without any trouble though.

I do want to do something similar to that link you sent, but the dashboard I am clicking on is a glass table that can only accept a URL in the drilldown option. I can't edit the code whatsoever. That glass table points to my dashboard, the next issue is implementing the javascript into the dashboard. Would I convert my dashboard into html and add it that way?

You don't really need to edit much Simple XML code, though you will have to add an anchor to your target at some point. In the target dashboard, there has to be a DOM element with an id you can reference in your URL, otherwise this is impossible.
You don't need to and shouldn't convert your dashboard to a html dashboard, this can be done with Simple XML and js. See here for general help on that.

but if you would like to drilldown from a dashboard or a glass table directly to another panel, you can create a new dashboard with the desired panel and set this new single panel dashboard as the drilldown to the first dashboard or the glass table.
i feel it can save plenty of work, but still not sure i fully understand the question
