The Jenkins PlugIn is a .hpi file which will not install from the Splunk Manage Apps console which will only install .spl files, and tar.gz files.

The Jenkins PlugIn (Splunk Plugin for Jenkins) at https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Splunk+Plugin+for+Jenkins plugs into your Jenkins environment. You need to have Jenkins admin rights and the ability to install Jenkins plug-ins to add this. Choose Plugin Manager from the UI or use the CLI tool. (More info at https://jenkins.io/doc/book/managing/plugins/ )

Configure the Plugin to start sending data from Jenkins to Splunk, using your Splunk hostname URL, port, token, etc.

In Splunk Enterprise, add the Splunk App for Jenkins from Splunkbase (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/3332/ )to get started seeing and understanding the data from Jenkins. Add custom filters and visualizations for more insights.
