Splunk Hadoop Connect: How to resolve HDFS indexing being stopped after upgrading to Splunk 6.4.4?

Hi Team,

Recently we upgraded one of our Splunk instance from older version 5.0.11 to 6.4.4 .
Although upgrade was successful but we are seeing few issues on Splunk Web.

  1. In data inputs section, no option is displayed for HDFS. If i click on add new data page rendered as empty.
  2. if we upgrade the Splunk Hadoop Connect from Splunk Web, HDFS indexing got stopped.

Any clues on this ?

Thanks
Pramod

This issue got resolved after removing the old dbx and adding new splunk_app_db_connect 3.0.1 version.

If you create a new Input - from within Hadoop Connect - Is that also a problem? Or only the original input you have in 5.0.11?

Hi

The hdfs data input option is not showing up in Data Inputs section. And also I am running with Hadoop Connect version 1.1 in which there was no option of creating new inputs.

Thanks
