I configured the HTTP Event Collector and tested it successfully with wget/curl
HomeAssistant app for Splunk complains however and i do not get any events from HomeAssistant as per the below snippet from the log.

This is more likely an issue with the Splunk component of Home Assistant, or its configuration, not the Splunk App itself. Can you open up an issue on the github project , including all of the requested information (log, relevant config, etc.) as well as the working curl command, so that I can take a look at it?
