Is there a limit on the number of messages consumed by the JMS Messaging Modular Input App ?

Using JMS Messaging Modular App version 1.3.8
We noticed the app consuming messages at a standard rate even when the queue had high volumes of messages ( about 2 million messages).
Is there a limit on the number of messages consumed by the app ?
If yes, how can we increase the limit ?
And what is the max ?
