Is it possible to install Splunk without a new web server?

Hello all,

I'd like to install Splunk but I don't want to install another web server, as I already have one running on my server.

Is there a way to use Splunk with my web server?

Thanks for your answers.

I dont think you can 'swap out' splunkweb in a modular way.
You set up a local proxy in front of splunkweb http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Admin/Specifyaproxyserver if that would give the functionality you wanted.
Alternately you could turn off splunkweb via web.conf and build something custom for yourself, like create web application(s) that can do the searching you want to do via the REST api http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/RESTTUT/RESTsearches

Splunk's web server is built-in to the Splunk daemon. You can't use your own web server.

What is your use case? What capabilities are you looking from Splunk?

I plan to correlate logs. I have already used Splunk, here I'm more interested in Splunk services architecture.
