Can Eventgen run on a Universal Forwarder?

Hi all,

I'm attempting to get Eventgen running on a UF and can not get the app to generate any data. I have no issues running this on an indexer and have done so many times, so I'm just wondering of this was not meant to run on a UF.

Please advise.
Many thanks,

I believe the eventgen is python based and needs python to run. The UF doesn't have python bundled with it. I've got it running with a heavy forwarder.

Hi @wweiland,
I'm currently working on eventgen and was curious on how you set it up working with the heavy forwarder. I would like to ask for your help on how you achieved it, what configurations have you set up and what are the possible things that we can do with the events if we were to work with an eventgen and heavy forwarder?

Thank you, your help is very much appreciated.
