Hi!

I use Splunk 6.3.3 as a "free license group"

in my Lincensing Windows I've got :
"Free license group
Alerts : Licensing alerts notify you of excessive indexing warnings and licensing misconfigurations. Learn more
Current : No licensing alerts

Permanent : No licensing violations

Local server information
Licensed daily volume : 500 MB
Volume used today : 0 MB (0% of quota)
Warning count : 0"

BUT in my log file :

"File "/applis/splunk/etc/apps/splunk_app_db_connect/bin/dbx2/../splunk_client/../splunk_sdk-1.5.0-py2.7.egg/splunklib/binding.py", line 1205, in request
raise HTTPError(response)
HTTPError: HTTP 402 Payment Required --
In handler 'shclusterconfig': Requires license feature='DistSearch'
2016-07-01T17:36:07+0200 [INFO] [mi_base.py], line 187: action=caught_exception_in_modular_input_with_retries modular_input=mi_input://TestInput retrying="4 of 6" error=HTTP 402 Payment Required --
In handler 'shclusterconfig': Requires license feature='DistSearch'"

AS you can see, i've got "HTTPError: HTTP 402 Payment Required"

Why i've got this problem?

Thanks a lot and have a nice day!

A very recent similar case at Does Splunk DB Connect 2.2.0 require access to a dLicense Master?

The free licenses doesn't have all the features. Free vs. Enterprise
