Can the Splunk App for Salesforce be used to index reports from Salesforce?

I am trying to see if I can use Splunk App for Salesforce without setting up the app with Salesforce credentials.
Also, we have Salesforce reports. Can I index those reports as local files once I have access to the Salesforce app?

Here is how I made it working:

Setting up Salesforce app is necessary. Creating a developer account is a 2 minutes job on salesforce portal.

All the reports we had were indexed as sourcetype csv. Once they were indexed we had to make changes in saved eventtypes. Changed sourcetype to csv in all saved eventtypes.

All the reports and dashboard in Salesforce app are working now.
